Imai Music School/Piano School
Since April, 2020
Welcome to the website of Imai Music Studio! We are a bilingual Piano and music school centered in the skip shopping street, which is conveniently located from JR Musashi-
sakai Station in Musashino-shi in Tokyo. You can take piano, music theory, and Kinder Music group class in Japanese or English. It is a cozy and friendly music school where students of all ages, levels and nationalities attend from all over in Tokyo.
大人のピアノレッスン
There are many college students and adult students in the music school. It is a fun lesson where students make a lesson plan and the teacher recommends songs. The lesson progresses according to the song you want to play, your level, and the practice time. We improve your practice method and music reading comprehension. Reasons for coming to lessons include "I've always wanted to play the piano," "I like playing it, but I don't feel like I'm improving," "I don't know how to play this part," and "I used to learn it, but I haven't played it in a while, so I want to learn it again!" We follow up on each student's goals. The word "brain training" is often used by students. I think that's exactly what you imagine (laughs).
初心者大人コース
For adult students taking lessons for the first time, we will use a textbook for adults as we proceed with the lessons. All of the students who want to play are musically inclined. They feel great joy when they learn fingering, how to read notes, how to read music, and how to press the keys to play a song. They will be able to play Christmas songs and other famous songs faster than they imagined.
Experienced Adult Course
Most people with piano experience often have a goal of "I want to play this kind of piece." The most popular composer among adult students is Debussy, followed by Chopin. If you haven't taken lessons for many years, your playing may seem out of sync and your tone may not sound good. By deepening your understanding of music, you will gain more definition and come closer to playing to your satisfaction. Compared to when you first started taking lessons, your improvement will be huge.
